    February 4, 2023 - Amateur62's note from December 2022 is spot on.

    December 20, 2022 - 65% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Malbec, 13.5% vol.

Decanted an hour before dinner. Beginning maturity with notes of leather and forest floor, underlayered with fruit of black berries, on the palate fresh with slightly rustic tannin, medium+ bodied and long finish.

Classic right bank Bordeaux for a fair price, less elegant but with more power than the last bottle two years ago. Perfect food wine with still many years ahead.

April 27, 2021 - Had the 2006 side-by-side with the Moulin Haut-Laroque 2005 the other night. The 2006 is a very elegant Merlot-based Bordeaux with finesse and style. Black berries and cherries, and typical for MH-L some black olive tapenade and coffee. While it's a fine wine for the vintage, the 2005 is the much bigger wine, more opulent, with a much smoother and rounder mouthfeel. 89 points for the 2006, 92 points for the 2005. Funny enough, the average ratings for the two vintages are similar despite the significant difference between the two wines.

    November 20, 2020 - Zuverlässig!
    Samtig, kein Bdx-Stinker. Frucht-Komplett, stramme Farbe(keineBrauntöne). Andeutungsweise Sherry=Reifetöne

October 27, 2020 - From a 3/8 bottle. Not much more developed than 4 years ago and needs a lot of air to open and to soften a bit. Dark fruits, licorice and a hint of leather, elegant though quite dense, good acidity, remarkable tannins, long finish. Best to decant for some hours if drinking now, else leave it for some more years in the cellar, 91+.
