March 9, 2019 - This bottle was much better than the one about 18 months ago. There was plenty of dark fruit and fragrance, the tannins were well covered not angular and length was decent. Good+ right banker.

February 12, 2019 - Apart from one dodgy bottle this has been very consistent and is still drinking well. Quite intense red berries, concentrated but not too much so, this is a neat, precise wine with good structure to offset its charm. Good stuff.

    December 10, 2018 - 13% alcohol.

Somewhat translucent, deep black cherry color. Moderately developed, nuanced and slightly sweet-toned nose with aromas of ripe blackcurrants, some wizened plummy tones, a little bit of leather and a woody hint of pencil shavings. The wine is juicy, dry-ish and medium-to-moderately full-bodied on the palate with flavors of blackcurrant marmalade, some sour cherry bitterness, a little bit of play-doh, light sweeter notes of black cherries, a developed hint of raisin and a touch of cedar. The wine is enjoyably sinewy and structured with its high acidity and moderately grippy tannic backbone. The finish is dry, quite grippy and somewhat bitter with long flavors of raisiny dark fruits, some sour cherry bitterness, a little bit of tart red plums, a sweet hint of prunes and a touch of blackcurrant.

A nice, balanced and pleasantly developed Bordelais red. Not really a grand vin, but shows good developed complexity and enjoyable sense of structure. A firm and sinewy effort that isn't young anymore, but doesn't feel like it is peaking either. Probably can be a +90 point wine with some more years in a cellar. All in all, a nice and enjoyable allrounder. Nice!

May 2, 2018 - This is good - there is still a bounce to the brambly fruit and the solid backbone ensures that the balance is right, with just enough hints of creaminess to keep it interesting, with neither excessive alcohol nor any oak to spoil it. It’ll be interesting to compare it with other Fronsacs.
