June 10, 2023 - A bit too odd tasting for my likes. Spritz blows off after a few minutes. What's left is some peachy sweetness.

November 28, 2021 - This is fun and enjoyable. Agree with what others have said about this wine. Certainly the fizz is very noticeable, and I would even say in the way. Maybe drink this when you want to have something good but different, rather than a more predictable experience.

October 5, 2021 - This was a very pleasurable not unexpectedly enjoyable wine drinking experience. There is certainly a greater than slight amount of effervescence, but I found it all enchanting in the glass. For me, this bottle drank like a very nice hard apple cider (Drew's for example), but with some additional complexity on the nose and finish. It was incredibly refreshing and a perfect pairing for foodstuffs. Held up over three days, so not something to fall apart in the short-medium term. I am left wanting more. I'm not sure what the "correct" score might be for something like this, but it's incredible for the ratio for Enjoyment over price.

August 27, 2021 - This was a little fizzier than I expected (not that there's anything wrong with that), but it certainly made for a refreshing warm weather drinker.

    Citrus, medium acidity... all good.

August 13, 2021 - A touch of fizz, those less noticeable on the palate. This has a bit of ripeness with candied pineapple, honeysuckle, ripe melon, and fresh peach. Has a bit of thickness to it due to the minerality, and there isn’t a ton of acid, so it definitely drinks a bit better when warm. I liked it but didn’t love it (my general feeling with rhone whites).

April 9, 2021 - My initial taste made me think oxidation. Not my favorite, but it wasn't terribly off. Some nuttiness. My initial impression came from a glass poured from the bottle right out of the fridge, As the wine warmed up, though, I was able to detect some table grapes or tart apple flavor. The wine is nicely refreshing.

March 11, 2021 - This is a happy accident that works. Halcon accidentally bottled with a little secondary fermentation ongoing, so this is lightly carbonated (a bit more than most vinho verde, for reference).

Waxy, green apple skin, hay bale in the sun, yellow plum, very minerally. CO2 lends some additional freshness, but I don’t think that would have been an issue at all as a still wine. Bright, balanced acidity and medium weight on the palate. Ultra food-friendly.
