August 17, 2023 - Very nice wine. Notes of cherries on the nose. Very well balanced acidity. Flavors of ripe blackberries, currants. Tannins are moderate— so easy to drink now, but can withstand a few more years aging.

July 8, 2022 - Popped and poured after 5 hours.
Deep purple red, almost black, thick and concentrated juice.
Nose still a little closed and austere, black plums, figs, cassis, blueberries, vignola cherries, very ripe and black but not jammy.
Sweet spices, cardamom, cocoa nibs, black pepper, oak, tobacco, soy sauce, charcuterie, graphite as long as the wine takes oxygen.
Mint, and a tangy green pepper note. Very complex.
Palate is so concentrated and fruity, full bodied, pure lush berries, chocolate, oak, licorice, vanilla beans, silky tannins, good minerality, great acidity that coats your mouth.
So powerful yet elegant and so accesible right now.
Crazy stuff for the price, (60 CHF) for sure a great example of a tuscan top notch wine.
No problem for this wine to go trough decades, with its structure, now in a early primary phase, but leave it for some years and you won’t regret.
I expect its peak in probably 10 years.
At 15% it showcases the classic power of the tuscan wines and the ‘18 climate, but without being too alcoholic or heavy, yet fresh.
