Vieilles vignes.
Du souffre au nez, cuir usé, fraise et cerise.
Un vin paysan en bouche, tout en honnêteté: écorce d'arbre, lavande, poivre et tige de vigne appuient une belle sélection de petits fruits acidulés.
D'une belle profondeur pour un vin aussi franc... une trame minérale de cailloux mouillés est présente et ajoute à une impression plus austère, avec des notes de grange, d'épices et une petite salinité bien reçue.
Le tout reste volatile en finale, tranchant, légèrement corsé et efficace.
Rien à redire, un peu plus difficile d'approche pour certains avec ce côté fermier, mais franchement savoureux... se laisse boire avec de la nourriture.

Deep purple in the glass.
Old vines.
Sulfur on the nose, old leather, strawberry and cherry.
Rustic wine, very honest: tree bark, lavender, pepper and vine stalk flavors backing up a nice selection of tart berries.
Surprising depth for such an unpretentious wine... wet gravel add upon a more austere impression, alongside some barnyardy flavors, mixed spices and a touch of salt.
Stays light on its feet on the finish, sharp, medium-bodied and efficient.
Not much to criticize here, might be a tad tougher to approach for some because of the farm flavor profile, but it is quite delicious... paired nicely with food.
