August 11, 2022 - A: Deep ruby with purple highlights
N: Pronounced nose of very ripe black cherry, cocoa, rosemary, thyme, liquorice,
P: Slight effervescence. Dry, high acidity, high alcohol, high sandy tannin, medium (+) intensity and long length.
Not the smokiness that I want to see in volcanic wines but I enjoyed my first Nero D'Avola.could have lived without the bubbles
    Not suitable for ageing.
Very good quality wine but lacks complexity.

March 20, 2022 - Some very slight effervescence with some nice barnyard funk. Medium to full body. 14% ABV. Dark robe. Fragrant nose. Almost silky smooth with some mild tannic structure on the mid palate into finish. This wine is in a great place and drinking beautifully. Dark berries, some ripe plum, vibrant fruit. Nice balance and complexity. I will be seeking out more!

March 18, 2022 - 700's signature is a distinct sweet core of baked apples, sweet prunes, and Ceylon cinnamon. The aromas don't give too much away - juicy dark blackberries, cocoa dusted raspberries, and cherry leather could go left to bright acid or right to dark concentrate. Right we go into a rich cauldron of sweet stewed fruits. Open on a cold night with a breeze. This thing will fill your belly and keep you warm.

November 9, 2021 - Italian Wine Scholar Class at the Texas Wine School. 100% Organic Nero d' Avola from 700 m. altitude vineyards. Deep ruby with a hint of garnet. Unfined, unfiltered, with a little fizz upon opening. Med. (+) aromas of macerated black cherry, caramel, medicinal herbs, licorice, earth, with a little VA. All stainless. Dry, with generous, juicy black fruit, med (+) acidity, med (+) tannins and high alcohol (14%). Full-bodied yet vibrant, with med (+) flavor intensity and length. Drinking well now but with a few years' upside potential. Evidently, there's lots of bottle variation, but that's what happens with natural wines.

October 19, 2021 - PnP. Color is deep ruby. On the nose: Plums, cherry and a little bit of funk. On the palate: Cherry, vanilla and plum. Finish is medium to a little short. Very good acidity and mouthfeel. This drinks very easily and is a nice find. Was recommended at my local wine shop. This is worth trying.
