May 11, 2023 - Just like earlier bottles in recent years. Decanted for one and a half hours. Great value. I have had 2023 down as the back end of my drink window. However, this bottle showed no hints of tiring.

3/16/2009 (link)(GRAND DESTIEU St. Emilion) Asteries Dear Friends, I've scoured the finest remaining stocks of 2005 in Bordeaux and this jumped out as one of the best-buys at the top end of the vintage. This may be a little rich for a Monday night but it was my only shot at the remaining inventory. From mostly Merlot with 10-20% Cabernet Franc (depending on the vintage), the talk in Bordeaux is that this wine has the potential to be the next Le Pin. Time will tell but they only produce 200-300 cases/year which (by Bordeaux standards) makes it legitimately rare. If you are looking to impress the most jaded collector, chances are, they've never tasted this wine... This parcel is in perfect condition, cellared under ideal conditions since release: 2005 Les Asteries St. Emilion EXTREMELY LIMITED I also came upon this 2006 for what appears to be a great price.
