June 3, 2023 - Beautiful wine! Great mix of black fruits, vanilla bean, melted licorice, sumptuous spices and little bit of graphite. Nice soft acidity and ripe tannins. Wow loved this young TRB beauty!

April 17, 2023 - Another beauty from TRB. Well balanced dark fruits and earthy undertone.
3 hours slo ox in bottle then thoroughly enjoyed over 3 hours.

January 28, 2023 - Decanted, some sediment in the screen. On pop and pour it’s very expressive with black fruits, graphite, and a growl that I am definitely going to give a few hours to tame.
After 30 minutes edges are off, and now some herbal notes. Sage! I don’t get that one too often, but it’s there.
At two hours really singing. In balance. Fruits, tannin, that little bit of crushed rock. Would bump it two points if the finish was just a little more satisfying but I don’t love the outro. Otherwise- great.

February 14, 2022 - Dark black fruit, lot of earth and oak, light tannin (maybe a bit too light). Long and sexy.

December 22, 2021 - Ripe rich black curranty Cali cab.
Needs a decant, but then quite delicious .

November 6, 2021 - Part of some belated birthday celebration with friends. Due to the number of wines drank, no formal tasting notes and did not leave notes for all of them.

    Wines drank included
    2018 Word Choice
    2019 Yesterday Rutherford
    2018 MFN Harvey & Harriet
    2018 Outpost
    2015 Rubicon
    2016 Kinsella Heirloom
    2016 Groth Reserve
2016 Vice Versa Le Petit Vice
    2018 Carter Los Compadres

Opened and double decanted for about 5 hours prior to dinner. Served blind alongside the Kinsella, Groth and Rubicon. This was a dead ringer for TRB when tasted near the Kinsella, also TRB. Velvety, dark fruited wine. Very well done and great for the price. Surprisingly open for a 2018 mountain wine, but give it some air first.

September 3, 2021 - From a magnum. Annual golf trip to NC. A really wonderful showing with younger black fruits and some asphalt. Pretty straight forward Cali Cab. Well produced.

August 24, 2021 - A nice wine. Initially strong vanilla and black raspberry. After 2 hours of air the vanilla faded and was a very nice wine.
