August 19, 2021 - I’m a fan of this label, as I’ve always found it to be well balanced, by California standards. The wine doesn’t go through malolactic fermentation; so it always displays lots of acidity and freshness; it’s aged in neutral oak, which adds complexity and balanced secondary notes (light butter, and vanilla); and it sees “lees stirring” (battonage), which adds body and creaminess to the texture. Fruits tend toward green and yellow, i.e., lemon, pear, apple, and melon. Perfect pairing with the baked sea scallops and pasta, covered in kale pesto and cheddar sauce.

April 18, 2021 - Pale light straw straw colored; tart apples, citrus nose; flavors of apples, pears and toasted almonds. Very crisp acidity. Abrupt finish.

April 10, 2021 - Dynamite value chardonnay, especially if you prefer a leaner style.
