    January 22, 2024 - Nose - Cherries
Palate- Cherries, full mouthfeel, med- full body, smooth and very delicious, even improving with food. Paired with vegetable lasagna, green salad, and garlic bread. Esp. good with the bread.

September 8, 2023 - Needed a lot of air. Tight until 90 min in the decanter. On the darker modern side of Chianti. Intense nose of sweet fruit and cedar. The cherry on the palate is a mix of sour and maraschino. Cedar, Tuscan herbs, and earth also on the palate. Med body, high tannin, high alcohol, high acid, med+ finish. Hold until at least 2026 or decant a couple hours prior. At the moment I like the regular riserva of the same vintage more but I see the potential here.

March 5, 2023 - We still like this one very much! Light perlant, good viscosity, light minerality, hint of citrus in background. Excellent with chicken patty, mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans.

January 27, 2023 - Nose- Earthy and fruity.
Palate- full, smooth body. Long finish. Light astringency, Raisin, dried plums and cherries.
    One of our favorite Chiantes.
Food pairing: pizza night! Pineapple cashew pizza ( Try it before you laugh!), with black olive, mozzarella, and sauteed onion, and arugula salad with lemon viniagrette.

2nd half of bottle with spaghetti and marinara. I found it delicious, with dark berry tartness. My wife found it a bit too tart, though still good.

September 4, 2022 - Has great nose with cedar and tobacco notes. Still pretty primary in terms of the finish but has lots of stuffing. I think it needs another 2+ years to mellow out and then should be 93+
