    June 7, 2022 - Premium Mature Bordeaux Blend (at my home): Deep amber
    pronounced aromas intensity of dried apricot, dried date, tropical fruits, caramel honey, brioche;
    fully developed
    sweet, high acidity, med abv, full body, pronounced flavors intensity consistent with the aromas, dried fig, almond caramel, long aftertaste, complex, excellent balance, an outstanding wine.
    can drink now - suitable for further aging

    April 28, 2022 - Bordeaux Wimps (La Trompette, Chiswick): Medium gold. Rich, but with some freshness, apricot, spice, touch of orange, good length finish

    February 3, 2022 - This is not a Climens that I have come across before. It lacks the defining qualities of a classical Barsac, so it it is full in fruit but the acidity seems to be lacking. It is possible because I am drinking this wine in Brisbane (and it was 36 degrees yesterday) that my palate has been affected, but I can normally compensate for that.

    September 27, 2021 - 2006 Bordeaux Horizontal: I’m a vintage purportedly as difficult for Sauternes as for reds, the Climens stands out - a beacon of fresh, lemony, orangey purity with delicious acid and medium botrytis. Such a pleasure to drink and, owing to its excellent balance, this should age beautifully. Drinking now for those who enjoy young Sauternes, best held another 10 years for those waiting for tertiary nuance.

    December 25, 2020 - Pineapple notes, that I usually find too acidic, have a creamy texture that subdues the wine and takes it to a lingering, balanced finish. Dangerously drinkable. A half bottle will not last long on most tables.
