  August 7, 2021 - My second bottle of this full-throttle rose was much better than the first. I think the additional bottle time allowed it to meld together a bit more. The wine had calmed down some and was much smoother and easier to drink. Strawberry fruit with hints of watermelon. The rest of our party was quite impressed with a 15% abv rose! Drink now - 2022+.

  June 14, 2021 - This gets a 94 from me. I do understand that standard tasting asks to judge the characteristics of a wine. But also I feel it is important to rate this as varietally correct. In my opinion, this is just as close to 'the edge' as it gets to Rosé. Anything more would just be a weird Pinot Noir. But there is something extremely intriguing about this wine. I not only get strawberry, I get the whole strawberry patch. I just don't get a little bit of watermelon, I get the stem, the seeds and the rind. I get the honeydew as if the whole thing was dropped in and crushed. As full throttle as it gets, this is a powerful Rosé and even though it has an acidic finish, it is still round enough to go with pork, fried chicken, steak, salmon, or just about anything you might enjoy with it. This makes me very happy that I chose to go after five of these (blind) on WineBid when this is my first experience with this wine. This thing will appreciate for at least another one to two years, but is a really neat wine to drink now.
