  September 14, 2008 - Red garnet color with orange highlights. Nose of cola and red fruits that followed through to the palate - got a strong note of cranberry - with earth and a spicy finish. Still, this seemed tight on day 1 - thought it would likely fade and die if held another day but boy was I wrong. On day 2, the wine had a more expressive nose with the fruit but also a hint of mushroom. On the palate, I noticed more ripe and lush red fruit - including strawberry jam - and sweet spice notes. Overall, really nice and well balanced, which kept inviting me back to my glass for more.

  July 3, 2007 - Pinot Days (San Francisco, CA): Elegant smoke, cherry, black raspberry, and herb aromas and flowers. Lushest and roundest of the Lost Canyon 05 pinots I tasted.
