June 9, 2017 - Nice band-aid flavor and aroma, which blew off after a few minutes. This smoothed out nicely.

January 7, 2013 - Awesome with mediterranean chicken and roasted potatoes. Complex, aromatic. Plenty of life left.

March 31, 2012 - Amazing how this just keeps getting better and the original price makes for incredible QPR. Wish I had waited longer on bottles I consumed years ago!

February 20, 2012 - No formal notes but a delicious bottle of Movredre - the wine is in a great spot now w/ a beautiful nose of horse barn, wild herbs - really great aromatics and much better than the last bottle I had a few years ago. Still good tannic structure. Just an amazing wine that cost $14 and is blossoming with age.

October 30, 2011 - From the first sip, a sour taste let me know the bottle was off. Some nice leather and dark fruit came through at the end, but I think excessive transport killed this bottle.

September 4, 2011 - More or less accidentally found this wine in my storage. I can remember when or who gave me this bottle. Very pleasantly surprised! Very nicely aged, rounded but still with plenty of power. Ripe red fruit, earth, leather and hints of herbs.
No traces of iron like the previous note, could be stored longer, but I do not expect much improvement.
Thanks again to the unkown who gave me this wine!

July 9, 2011 - Hardly a sign of age on a dark ruby red color. Aromas of black fruit, cherry, blackberry, smoked meat, green pepper, dusty chalk, and limestone. The mouth feel is very surprising for the asking price of this wine! Elegant and soft on the palate yet gobs of fruit, ripe tannins, and subtle tannins. Shocked at the 14.5% alcohol, because there was no signs of heat only a wonderful balance. The finish is medium to long ever changing and satisfying. Wish I had a few in my cellar.

July 9, 2011 - Still drinking very nicely with little sign of it's maturity. Perhaps some iron creeping into the palate but an excellent representation of Mourvedre and a real foodie wine.

March 17, 2011 - Excellent and uniquely bandol in style. A healthy share of deep fruit, game, leather and good acidity.

August 1, 2010 - OC Poker VII; 7/31/2010-8/1/2010 (WCC - Irvine CA): Maby this wine has multiple personalities because I had lots of cedar on the nose and tasted pencil shavings with the fruit. Lots of tannis and a very long finish. Drinking window through 2013? This will go MUCH longer.
