March 11, 2022 - Showing very young, but with sufficient air and a Burgundy glass it does offer plenty of joy now. Its floral, doughy and green fruited with serious power and intensity, and albeit austere on the mineral laced finish, it has good length and persistence. Time will do this bottling well.

May 31, 2021 - Toasting to the start of new adventures (Ok Omens, Portland Oregon): Nose: The nose is pristine and deep with loads of Saline, pears, apples, Meyer lemons, warm dough, flint, acacia flowers, and fresh baked biscuits. This is a nose to get lost in as it shows off excellent layering and poise already.

Taste: The feel is Medium bodied with sharp, high acidity. There is a real beauty to the feel with Meyer lemons, pears, apples, saline, acacia flowers, warm dough, and fresh baked biscuits.

Overall: This is a flat out gorgeous champagne. It could use a few more years to round into form but it is tremendous already. This isn’t a Laval that pushes extremes and instead it is one that aims to be pristine and expressive.
