August 18, 2023 - Wow! What a lovely surprise. This is a really beautiful wine. Great colour, bright red cherry, just a tinge of brick on the rim. Both fresh and mature on the nose, nice red cherry fruit but also some woody herbal notes, nice. Palate is more of the same, good acidity, bright fresh red cherry and plum fruit, with tart acidity and a nice finish. Shows even better with food. Paired beautifully with a rustic chicken, walnut and gorgonzola pasta dish - really cut through the cheese and made the meal. Rating is not with food.
