June 10, 2023 - Deep ruby. Off the bat this was impressive. Complex, inviting, perfumed nose—floral (hyacinth, lavender), fruity (dark berry), and a hint of flinty mineral and tannic depth. On the palate, bright and lively acidity, elegant, berry driven fruit with a firm but noble tannic grip. This is my kind of wine, but I do think it needs more time, the kind of wine that needs at least 10 years. Not easy to find.

December 31, 2022 - Intriguing Loire red from 120+ year old malbec (cot) vines in Touraine. Not remotely like a South American malbec in style, tannin or weight. Freshly ground black pepper on the nose, dark color but much lighter and engaging on the palate with indiscernible berry fruit, more black pepper, low tannins, balanced, no noticeable oak, sapid, 13.5% alc., it was a good match with roast chicken with mushrooms, garlic and rosemary. Definitely has the potential to develop and morph with more bottle age.

January 23, 2022 - Je ne sais toujours pas quoi penser de ce vin.
Ouvert puis carafé mais finalement on n'était pas plus avancé...
Tannique, astringent, heureusement qu'on a mangé...
A priori, je n'en rachèterai pas.

August 25, 2021 - Ouvert, goûté puis passé en carafe.
Robe violette. Nez réfractaire durant 1 heure, ensuite quelques notes de mûres, de framboises.
Au palais, puissant mais plutôt fin, chargé en extraits qui tapissent la langue, un peu monolithique.
Trop jeune, attendre 2-4 ans, selon moi.

June 12, 2021 - Recent notes on point. Really concentrated and powerful right now.

**I had a second bottle of this on August 14, 2021, with an extended decant. Much more pleasurable, but still unresolved. I would give it 5 years.

January 16, 2021 - dark purple/black color, mulberry, cassis, smoke and earth. Weighty mouthfeel, but not clumsy. Good structure, but not overly tannic and no oak influence. Very young, but quite delicious at this stage. Great wine with a Turkish spiced lamb dish and would certainly work with stews. Not hot or overly alcoholic -this is what I wish South American Malbec would taste like.

October 5, 2020 - Tasty, powerful, and concentrated. Hint of reduction upon opening, but that blows off to reveal intense juicy black cherry and pomegranate with sweet tobacco. Palate is similarly concentrated with more of the same dark fruit core with a peppery, spicy finish. Chalky, but unobtrusive tannins. Certainly benefits from air and one or two years of age certainly wouldn’t hurt it any.

August 1, 2020 - Impressive concentration but rather rough at this point. I would not be at all surprised if this turned into something quite nice with age but it really reminds me more of young Cahors than of young Clos Roche Blanche so it's not really what I was looking for.
