October 8, 2023 - This wine really surprised me. Really balanced fruit, not overly ripe or sweet. Surprising amount of star anise and other exotic spice, really reminiscent of very ripe vintage declassified echezeaux, while clearly its own thing and not trying to be burgundy imitation. Missing the earth and overall complexity, but I was very impressed at the price point.

Definitely a wine that took time to come together, I'd estimate a peak in another 2-3 years or so, but great to drink now.

November 19, 2022 - Insanely delicious. Sweet without being candied, moderately rich, nice balancing acidity. Not super complex but oh so tasty. Hard to stop sipping it.

November 10, 2022 - Lots of red cherry on the nose and palate, which shows stronger the longer it is open. Sweeter red fruit but nicely balanced. Very tasty, drinking great now and likely for at least another 3 to 5 years. Great value pinot.

August 6, 2022 - Really enjoyed this. Given other reviews, was surprised at how earthy this was in the first hour. More balanced as it opened up with really nice acidity. Absolutely delicious in the third hour open. Thought I might have let this go too long in bottle, but feels like it’s got more room to develop.

April 16, 2022 - First Suzor. Medium ruby color. Fragrant nose of bramble, earthy berry, violets, plum pits. Layers of primary, fresh red raspberry, strawberry, and Bing cherry on the tongue, evolving more towards iodine and cola with time. Bright acidity and firm but finer-grained tannin. Moderately long finish of brier, berry, iron bits, and earth. Very impressive bottle, especially for the price, sampled quite young. Years of evolution yet.
