January 30, 2024 - Cherry, black currant, cigar box, tar
Good acidity, M- tannins still holding structure
    Decent length.
A lovely wine to drink now + 5 years

    November 13, 2021 - Absolutely delicious!

Oaky at first but atop a base of shockingly pure Cabernet. Surprisingly youthful and tannic. The 5% Sangiovese adds a racy, leathery wonderful note of acid. At 20 years, this wine still has mile in the tank. I am quite amazed at how youthful this is. Quite nice, quite international, but happy to drink this any day of the week.

June 7, 2020 - ruby with slight bricking. black cherry and black currant nose with a hint of pencil lead. there are notes of dark berry, herbs, fennel and well-done meat running through to the long finish. tannins are still dusty and astringent. it's a race with the fruit, i think.

January 14, 2020 - Very, very good. A bit tannic, but ready with some decanting; more new World, but great nose and balanced.

February 4, 2019 - P'n'p. Still a tannic monster with lots of new oak. Plenty of fruit left though, this can keep for 5-10 yrs easily.
