Community Tasting Notes 5

May 30, 2019 - Bottle purchased from the winery in Dec 2017. 15 years old and still impressively fruity. Tannins are nicely softened, but secondary characteristics are only lightly developed.

March 5, 2017 - Well integrated and drinking well. Dark red fruit, baking spice and white pepper on the nose. Boysenberry, blueberry, and cinnamon on the medium body palate. Medium + but soft grain tannins and high alcohol. Long finish.

December 9, 2014 - Deep garnet color with a lot of sediment. Full bodied with medium to high acidity, strong tannins (but not punch-in-the-face strong), and a long finish. It tastes like currant, dried stone fruits (prune, plum), some roasted nut (walnut?), and black pepper.
