July 20, 2023 - well aged Chablis, some caramel and nutty notes, good balance and structure, long finish

April 8, 2020 - Although certainly tired, this is far better than the previous bottle that I opened a mere week ago. Yes, there is oxidation (as witnessed by the golden color and the toasty nose), but there is also fruit (pear and slight citrus). The palate, while far from exuberant, is tart, expressive, and fairly deep. Most would argue that this wine would have been better a handful of years prior. While I am in no position to argue that assertion, it is far (quite far) from "past" tonight. thedrunkencyclist.com

April 1, 2020 - Decidedly dark in the glass with an almost amber color. The nose suggests oxidation but is it premature given that it's fifteen years out? Yeah, it's premature. I have had four-decades-old Chablis that have been stunning. This is GOOD, but far from STUNNING, with caramel and lemon on the nose. The palate has ample acidity, but the oxidative nature is dominant so I struggle with how to judge this wine. It is certainly beyond "good" but it is not what it should be. At least what I THINK it should be. thedrunkencyclist.com

January 7, 2015 - Suffering from pre-mature oxidation. A real disappointment, especially when served alongside the Les Clos 2005.

November 5, 2014 - Mature fruit aromas and flavors, showing lots of tropical fruit as well as powerful orchard fruit. Tried from two different bottles tonight, both equally good but it's time to drink up if these two are representative.

(Joseph Drouhin / Drouhin-Vaudon Chablis Grand Cru Vaudésir) Lovely bright lemon chiffon nose; tasty, bright lemon chiffon fruit with good acid, light-medium body; medium-plus finish (they stopped using new oak in '04)
