July 25, 2013 - I like this wine in general, and this same bottling showed much nicer earlier on, but now I fear it's done. Have to agree with CT community's drink by of 2012 on this one. It's definitely diminishing, with no particularly remarkable tasting notes of distinction. Finish could be called smooth, but lacking is probably more correct at this point.

April 11, 2012 - Good pedestrian bottle at this price point. Nothing remarkable. Actually used some of this bottle in my beef stew.

April 23, 2011 - Nose of pepper and blueberry and cream. Blueberry dominates with cedar and a hint of Asian spice. A short to medium finish.

August 5, 2009 - Loads of blue and black fruit. Black tea components but creamy @ the same time. Medium-to-full bodied. On the palate, tar, chocolate and acid balance out the big fruit. There is a certain bitterness to the fruit. Starts minerally and earthy then the black fruit build and the wine ends with nice acidity.

July 19, 2009 - Very modern in style with lots of sweet, toasty new oak framing vibrant blackberry, cherry and plum aromas. Medium to full bodied, round and velvety on the palate with polished tannins and moderately concentrated spice and black fruit flavors.

June 15, 2009 - Dark purple color with berry and plum aromas. Pleasant wine that went well with a variety of appetizers before dinner, especially the cheese. Blackberry and plum flavors with some oak and vanilla flavors. Smooth finish.

February 25, 2009 - Med-dark purple color. Dusty, blackberry aroma. Simple flavor of blackberry jam and oak. Med-full body with moderate tannins and dry finish. Felt like it coated the back of my tongue, but not in a good way. Average wine for the price.
