  January 6, 2021 - This is the best value outstanding SB from the vintage, in my experience. Totally balanced, earthy, intense and grassy. Classic Marlborough, with gooseberry, cut grass, fresh tarragon. The palate is focused, very bright, and long. It is not the equal of the Cloudy Bay 2020, but at almost 1/3 the price, the teeter signature is just as clear.

  Allan Scott Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2020
  
  If I were a writer of few words (I‘m not), or just wanted to give you a one-sentence review (I don’t), I could have left the title of this post to speak for itself (it does), I could be lazy (I am) and just reflect on my post of the previous vintage nearly a year ago to again extol the virtues of this wonderful wine (I will).
  
  “Harkening back to big fruit styled wines; this Sauv Blanc is all of that. As I’ve also observed, or more correctly tasted, producers are trending away from the oh-so-present grapefruit flavors and leaning more towards tropical fruit or even the grassier-styled wines, no problem for this drinker, this wine being one of the former styles. With its crisp acidity and a slight herbaceousness, the wine travels over the palate leaving in its wake wonderful qualities that are sure to please.”
