December 13, 2021 - PnP while playing Scrabble but still going strong & evolving after an hour & a half.

Eleven months in 44% new french oak.

Fresh, elegant with really well integrated oak. Ripe strawberries, oak spice, mocha, smoke, cranberry, baking spice.

April 23, 2021 - Really Nice New Word pinot. Fresh without too much sugar

March 24, 2021 - This amazingly good wine will show best after about two hour's breathing. Then it will deliver a stunnningly satisfying bouquet of strawberries, raspberries, red cherries and a tinge of violets on the nose. On the palate, at first it is medium bodied, but then gains weight and delivers a vast array of gorgeous red fruits and vanilla. It will also develop some of the delicious Christmas pudding/cake qualities found in some other Martinbrough Pinots, notably Palliser. I see that others assert that the grapes came from a variety of locations, although the label does not say so. Inside knowledge is always a bonus for some. In any event, this wine is profoundly enjoyable and exceedingly good value. I highly recommend it.

March 2, 2020 - A 50/50 blend of Pinot Noir from the Awatere and Southern Valleys, this has a medium-high intensity nose that is clean with red and black fruits, black cherry, raspberry, plum, dark berry, and spice, along with some earthy tones and hints of tea leaf. The medium-full bodied palate is structured and quite concentrated with nice red and black fruit replays. Raspberry, tomato leaf, and whiffs of tea leaf and mineral also appear on the flavour profile. Acids are still quite juicy, while the finish length is very good.
