December 23, 2023 - Similar to my July ‘22 note. All the right stuff going on, but five years in the bottle and a year in the cellar hasn’t made it more wonderful. Perhaps unfair to stack it against a mature Henri Gouge. Paired with a mushroom risotto.

July 1, 2022 - Ruby color, fairly translucent. Black cherry, orange blossom, licorice and leather on the nose. Sour cherry with chewy tannins. Long finish on the back of the palate.
