January 8, 2021 - This vintage looks really promising. Reminds me a little of 2017 and nowhere nearly as rich as 2018. Acid is good. There is a slight whiff of asparagus/mushroom that I really appreciate with Zilliken - hope for even more pronounced notes in the Spätlese. Not much petroleum so far but may emerge later. Balance is good and acid is sufficient. Will be interesting to follow over the years. Think Zilliken makes one of the best Rausch rieslings.
