March 1, 2024 - (72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 8% Petit Verdot. 2026-2042 (Januar 2024)

February 2, 2024 - Slow-O two hours. A solid showing for what's now defined by many as a value wine. Contextually, of course, that's true. Sigh. A decent enough sense of place at present, but while this was enjoyable (thanks to all the freshness and tasty black fruits, etc), I consistently had the feeling this was keeping a fair amount close to the vest. I'd love to revisit in 5-8 years, as I think there are even brighter days ahead. recommended

December 6, 2023 - Really good tonight. I feel like it is fruity, smooth with a reasonable finish. Given that I have finally pulled myself out of '09 pricing, this is a pretty good QPR.

November 2, 2023 - My first time tasting a Latour Martillac, and I'm on the fence. I decanted and strained, there was a bit of fine sediment in the bottle. I poured and I was surprised that it was open for business. There is a decent amount of fruit, and tannin is not a factor. Is it worth $40 a bottle? Only time will tell.

September 12, 2023 - Dark fruits, blue and black and mature, are obvious in the nose, where these are joined by gentle floral notes. The mouth feel is rather soft and friendly, later, towards the end joined by somewhat dusty tannins. But not before some spicy and vanilla notes appear. This all makes for a good complexity and also a fine balance, even if I usually prefer more acidity.
Will it improve in the next couple of years? I see drinking windows from various reviewers from 2025 onwards. I don't think waiting will be truly rewarding for this one...

August 15, 2023 - Very good! Fruit forward wine which is not overextracted, still refined. Very fresh - silky tannins. Blue- and Blackberries on the palate. Really beautiful wine, great QPR!

March 15, 2023 - Trop de tannins, meme apres decantation. Sans doute trop jeune, a laisser vieillir.
