November 12, 2022 - I had made an appetizer with beets, pomegranate, brown rice and yogurt, and wanted something spritely to accompany it. This wine is perhaps more serious than was strictly necessary, but it was delicious and fulfilled its spriteliness duties. Nicely integrated acidity, no tartness, some cherry fruit without sweetness, and a slightly somber woodsiness. It is a very elegant, floral wine without an enormous structure, so I would be inclined to drink sooner rather than later. At $36 a bottle, it is a very compelling alternative to Bourgogne Rouge.

July 31, 2022 - Fantastic. Especially the perfume and texture.

Nice red fruited and conifer nose. Because it's young, the taut structure is what stands out on the palate.

Not at all disappointed to try it young. A serious pinot. Good bridge between new and old world.

October 23, 2021 - Really liked it. Light body.
Smells of earth and fruit. Not quite as perfumed as some burgundies but still lovely.
Flavor was very well balanced though I did taste a bit of heat on the finish. On day 2 the wine mellowed and got even better.

    Well done Oregon.

September 8, 2021 - Great wine! Lovely bouquet, notably more open than in December last year. Appealing tension, lift, and range. Decant if drinking in the short term. Several years in the cellar will serve it well.

September 5, 2021 - another very good le puit sec in the making. seems to be a bit more coiled than previous years that will require a bit of patience to really show everything. It took nearly 2 hours to really come around but then had red to dark red fruits, spice shop, sandalwood, black tea, and a touch of citrus and florals. Great minerals and mouthwatering acid on the long finish. Ill be waiting a few years before my next bottle and should have a very long life ahead of it
