November 24, 2023 - (Decanted for ons hour)
Deep red colour with a brick red hue with a mature nose showing coffee, black truffles, leather and barnyard at first and opens up with fruity notes of violets and licorice in a very delicious way. Smoothing tannins on the lovely palate showing drying fruit and showing some herbs on the lengthy and balanced finish.

Deep red colour with a brick red hue and a mature nose showing leather, truffles and red berries in a delightful way. Softened palate showing silky smoothing tannins combined with a delicious fruitiness and tertiary notes of truffles and leather in a very pleasant combination.

    February 10, 2022 - Grand vin.
    Bought on release.
Full body, ripe but very vibrant.
    Warm, quite powerful fruit.
    Soft tannins, an elegant giant.

Had late at night in a friends company, so no formal notes. Just a smile on the face.

Drinks beautifully now, but has alit more to give.
    A wine to long for.

Lovely maturity showing truffles, forest floor and some herbs with fully evolved tannins. This is drinking very well right now and was perfect with grilled

Deep red colour still showing a purple rim with a maturing nose showing leather, forest floor and some lovely violets as well. Warm on the palate with primary fruit, still austere tannins and a lengthy balanced finish. This was drinking very nicely, but was at its best with an extra hour in the glass during dinner.

January 11, 2019 - Mature nose showing wet soil, red berries and some herbs before opening up with some liquorice and leather notes. Smoothing tannins still showing primary fruit, but with some hints of tertiary notes of leather before the warmer finish showing the level of alcohol (13,5%) this holds. Not as good as last bottle, but still a good showing bottle that should benefit from further cellaring that will tone down the warm and sweet fruit and show some more

Deep red colour with a blue red hue and an incipient maturity on the nose showing a hint of stables, truffle and warm red cherries before opening up with flowers and some licorice. Smoothing tannins on the palate with a freshness and still lots of sweet red cherries that is starting to dry up. This has evolved nicely over the last few years starting to transform with some tertiary notes that should be showing a lovely evolution over the coming decade.. (Probably best 2016-2029)

January 16, 2014 - Cork smelt of vinegar which worried me initially. Bottle seemed to have held up though. Smooth, rich and drinking well. Would preferred to have had it a year or two earlier though.

September 23, 2013 - Very nice wine. Showing good maturity, this was deep and smooth with fine tannin and very good length. Drinking very nicely over 3 hours and was holding on well in the end. No rush
