June 4, 2022 - sdwineguru nailed the notes and score for me. A great bottle and my only one. He wrote the perfect note so I have nothing more to add other than I wish I had purchased additional bottles. Never had a bad bottle of Hyde.

May 11, 2022 - Dense. Ripe and close to being an over-the-top kind of Pinot. Not my style for sure, but plenty of fruit albeit lacking nuance. Some heat on the finish doesn't help the balance.

January 16, 2021 - Enjoyed more than the last bottle, probably in no small part due to pouring it a full hour before tasting. Cherry cola, licorice, orange peel, barnyard. Really nicely balanced, modern with a clear line to tradition. Excellent.

October 24, 2020 - Needed ~30 minutes to flesh out. Clear, youthful violet in the glass. Nose of brambles and barnyard. Sweet, but not cloying palate, strawberry and a bit of vanilla. Fine, almost mushy tannins, medium-short finish, a little sharp and hot (just south of 15%), probably doesn't have the structure to age much further. The description at JJB said this "won't be for everyone" -- huh, this strikes me as a very solid crowd pleaser, at the intersection at CA and Burgundy. At $35, quite decent value, if not setting the world on fire. Very good.

December 3, 2019 - Medium bodied & medium plus acidity. Does not show any signs if slowing down. Tons of warm baking spice coated with chocolate covered cherries.

November 13, 2019 - Initially the nose blew me away and the fruit was plentiful and delicious. But about an hour in, the fruit started to drop out. Decanting was unnecessary. Drink up
