December 4, 2023 - Excellent. Not overpowering with osso buco. Lighter than Barolo but complex with good body and nose. I want to get more.

October 30, 2022 - Drank 4-1/2 hours after decanting. Light garnet with a nose of something slightly floral, and a hint of anise and dark cherries, along with more than a whiff of alcohol. The palate has Bing cherries, more anise, and a bit of mint. The body is medium-, the acid is medium, and the tannins are present and slightly drying. The long finish maintains fruit to the end, but is dominated by drying tannins. ABV 14.5%.

December 25, 2021 - Nice balanced old world wine with cherry and other red fruit, leather and earth. High acidity, medium body, medium long finish that is best enjoyed with food. Very enjoyable with cheese and sausage board.

September 24, 2021 - Very floral on the nose and light. Fresh red berries. Would have guessed it were a boujalais if blind.

February 25, 2021 - Drank after 3 hours in a carafe. A light ruby red in color. The nose has red fruit (Strawberry? Cherry?), some hints of black fruit (Marionberry?) and floral notes. The palate has cherries and black fruit, not much mineral or secondary notes. It has a light body with a solid base of smooth tannins and good acidity. Does need adequate air to open. Alcohol 14.5%.

November 15, 2020 - Tasted after 90 minutes in a decanter. The color is a light ruby red. The nose has cherries and a subtle floral note. The palate has cherries, marionberry, and a hint of spice. This is a light bodied wine, with acid in balance and somewhat smooth tannins (which get more prominent when the tongue is fully engaged). It has a medium finish. A good value. Alcohol 14.5%.
