November 12, 2012 - Losing some crispness. Tasting a little flat in the palate. Probably near the end of life.
April 14, 2012 - - Yellow color and has flavours of orange blossom and grapefruit.
December 1, 2009 - From a half bottle again. A rich, buttery nose with some nuts and apricots, plums and quite a lot of fresh citrus zestiness. Ripe apricot fruit dominates the palate. There is some freshness, but overall it feels a touch unidimensional and blowsy, and showing that 14.5% just a bit too much.
November 28, 2009 - Half bottles for Thai food offline (King's Heath, Birmingham): 14%. A half bottle.
This is powerful stuff. Peaches and pears on the nose. This was served at the wrong point in the meal. But unfortunately, on the palate, it's rather dull, lifeless and flabby.
November 23, 2009 - Nice floral nose, good body. Well made wine.
October 9, 2008 - Rich yellow, almost gold in colour, this viognier shows candied pineapple, peach and honey on the nose with just the slightest hint of citrus. The palate shows more acid - green apple and a hint of sweet lemon. Nice, but bordering on dessert wine.
September 22, 2008 - The alcohol really dominated initially, possibly because it was too cold(?). After giving it some time in the glass to warm and open up some fruit and floral components came through, but you could still taste a bit of alcohol. Really not much going on in the midpalate and not much of a finish. Disappointing.
June 2, 2008 - Pale straw yellow gold, moderate nose of honey, floral, nectarine and peach. Medium-full body, smooth acid with flavorful white pepper, peach and apple. Wonderful spice with a long finish. Good balance. Great QPR
February 25, 2008 - A nice clean rich palate and nose. Fairly straightforward as California viognier goes, but it works well.
