  March 14, 2023 - Lighter in all ways than the CdB. I much prefer the CdB in this and all vintages, although this is still a spectacular wine for the price. Very crisp and high in acid, baked apple and pears, honey. Tiny hint of sweetness. A baby of course but no harm in opening if you have several. Hard to beat for $32.

  February 25, 2023 - Crisp apple, crisp pears, orange peel, ginger, fresh baked bread/toast, preserved lemon, green tea, nutty alpine cheese and wet wool on the nose. The palate shows more lemon and less tree fruits but keeps most of the non-fruit flavors. A beautiful nutty/oxidative quality presents iself on the end of the palate.
  
  Medium + body with high acid at this stage. A VERY long (minute +) finish with the oxidative flavors. Obviously hold this for 10-20 more years; but it is developing beautifully. (CT says you could age it 100 years!)

  January 21, 2023 - Appearance: medium- lemon, medium+ tearing, slight green/copper highlights, no rim variation, no sediment nor gas.
  
  Nose: clean, pronounced intensity, developing, apricot, asian pear, yellow plum, candied lime, tangerine, white peach, wet stone, chamomile, white flowers, mustard green, ginger, fennel bulb, clotted cream, honey, marmalade, preserved lemon.
  
  Palate: slightest bit off dry, high acid, medium alcohol (13%), medium+ body, pronounced intensity, long finish, apricot, asian pear, yellow plum, candied lime, tangerine, white peach, wet stone, chamomile, white flowers, mustard green, ginger, fennel bulb, clotted cream, honey, marmalade, preserved lemon.

  December 29, 2022 - Young, but always good to get a pulse on these wines.
  
  Classical “base champagne”/oxidized apple aromatics I always associate with Huet’s chenin Blancs. Very pear driven. Honeysuckle and faint honeycomb aromatically. On the palate, the acidity isn’t as ripping as expected but the lemon bite is strong. There’s a distinct herbal flair here, but it mostly comes through at the finish alongside the honeyed lemon. At this stage, this tastes like ripe Grand cru Chablis. In 20yrs, I’m sure this is magical.
