January 14, 2022 - The wine looks straw colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. The body is medium/full. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity. This wine was slightly sweeter than I expected. Be careful about food pairing, it could overwhelm anything light.

January 11, 2022 - My first Huet of any sort. Oh. My. God. The QPR is so good the retail price seems like some kind of trick. And you guys say this stuff ages into...something even BETTER? The rest of 2022 might be hell, but this and the kitten I just adopted are simply adorable.

December 26, 2021 - Cinnamon apple and pear, tropical rather than stone fruit notes. Really fresh and vibrant. Next bottle in 5 years

December 23, 2021 - Opens with apples and pears, acidity becomes dominant mid-palate as the flavors transition to herbal and saline notes. This wine is lively, at this young age, and will probably be delicious for at least the next decade.

December 22, 2021 - A strong competitor for Chateau Moncontour! Only Vouvray that comes close to its quality. But Moncontour is a better value.

December 19, 2021 - One of the best Vouvray I have ever had. As good as any top line Chablis. Different than Chablis, with a tad more fruit up front but similar acidity. crispness and minerality. A really fine wine. Definitely will refill at any time and buy future vintages. I don't drink a lot of white wine, but this is really good stuff.

December 11, 2021 - Platinum color, off-dry. I thought apple and lemon. Susie said melon and hint of peach. Tasted against Terraces ‘19 Chenin. Susie liked terraces better but I thought the Huet-Lieu was more nuanced.

November 19, 2021 - Beautifully balanced floral fruit nectar.
Perfect with a Mediterranean stew of chicken, leeks, fennel, garlic.
A bit of a splurge for a white (for me) at $37 WineAccess, but I wish I had a case!

November 18, 2021 - Just a hint of alcoholic heat when first popped. This wine is one of an outstanding trio in 2019. I really enjoy the verve and depth of all of the dry Huets in this vintage. This rendition of Le Haut Lieu has more weight than usual but with all the complexity, green apple, waxy honey, and lime peel. Crisp, refreshing acidity carries the finish. Lovely wine

November 15, 2021 - Decided to revisit and this bottle is nothing like the one from August. There is a hint of herbal but I don't feel it is overwhelming the wine. Instead of the long-lingering herbal taste, it has juicy, mouthwatering fruit, high acidity, and a touch of mineral and herbal. Really lovely and mouthwatering. Very good just out of the cellar.

Really enjoying this bottle. Previous one must have been a bad one.
