October 11, 2021 - Medium bodied Amarone. Raspberry and dark fruit. Needed 90 minutes to open up. I liked it, but it didn’t blow me away.

May 21, 2021 - Full-bodied, ripe raspberry and plum, tobacco, the 15% alcohol is apparent on the finish. Nice expression of Amarone but not life-changing.

April 23, 2021 - This was my first Amarone since having become a wine enthusiast, so I have no basis of comparison...but after reading about Amarones and the reviews for this one, I was underwhelmed and disappointed. It was lighter bodied than I expected and more acidic. The palate was decent, of fig and candied plum, followed by mocha coffee. Medium finish. I think I would have enjoyed this more if it was $10 cheaper.
