September 17, 2021 - PNP into Triton plastic Burgundy glass (“Root” day): medium bright golden to the eyes.
Ultra aromatic yellow fruits, salt preserved citrus fruits like grapefruits and lemons with peels. Highly detailed, highly integrated notes of freshly ground spices, saline marina notes, oxidative notes but the nutty notes here are very restrained and makes this a very clean take od this style to me.
Saline and highly acidic on palate. Fruits on palate are subtle compared to the nose suggestive of the vintage. Very elegant yet clean and persistent finish here.
Approachable now in my view if one enjoys the style but clearly will benefit in much longer term say 10-15 years if anyone can hold back the urge to uncork their remaining bottles…
