August 10, 2023 - It took till about hour 4 to really blossom. Full-bodied bold fruits. This will will last a long time.

July 8, 2023 - The 2018 Heart of the hill Cabernet Sauvignon from Betz continues its outstanding legacy. The 2018 does need some decanter time but it is quite enjoyable now. Aromas of red & black fruits, mocha, and cigar box. On the palate its very balanced even with substantial tannins and gives a lush mouthfeel. Black fruits, leather, and that Red Mountain swagger.

Paired well reverse seared beef and baby red potatoes. This Cabernet is comparable with many high-end wines and keeps its place in my cellar.

July 8, 2023 - Beautiful Red Mountain wine. Lucious dark red fruit, grippy tannins and subtle floral and game notes. This is a superior wine.

January 6, 2023 - Beautiful WA cab. Plenty of deep red fruit, a touch of mocha and a trifle of truffle. Plenty of length.

January 5, 2023 - Drank alongside a Quilceda Creek cab and compared very favorably. Opened and poured w/o decanting. Healthy dark purple color. Nicely balanced with smooth tannins and a long finish. Drinks well now, may improve for a few more years.
