But that button is not here.

    Just a fantastic bottle.
Meats and cured meats and blackberry with a real core of something primal and ancient. I would love to grow grapes such as this. The land, the air, the climate all lend to a fantastic 2019 by the hands of our favorite: Paris!

    Well done!
Wish I had enough to drink this every night.

January 21, 2023 - Pretty dull and disjointed on PnP, but an hour of slow-ox did wonders. Still a shy nose showing just hints of charcoal and bacon, but charming purple and blackberry fruit on the palate with a spicy, black pepper-infused finish. Medium/medium-plus acidity, low tannin.

November 23, 2022 - I let this bottle rest upright for about 2 months.
Still could only decant half the bottle before the sediment smoke started to show.
This guy filled the room with the aromas of crushed granite, yeast, sharp dust of tartly ground up stones. Was an amazing thing to experience just sitting there at my computer with the room filled with this gorgeous Northern Rhone aroma.

    Love this wine!

Can't believe there are still 2 bottles left at Wine.com. I'll have to buy those too. Under $20?

It's drinking perfectly now, but will assuredly age another 5.

January 4, 2022 - Upon first opening I thought I'd erred, that it was too soon. A bit grapey in the nose and primary. But just ten minutes of air let it settle in and it unfolded over a couple of hours. FRACTALAGE and JEREMY HOLMES both provided solid notes. And I also agree with FRACTALAGE's suggestion of a 5-7 year aging potential from here. This is medium-bodied with some minerality and dark fruits that ride the medium-weight frame, never feeling heavy, joined by those meaty, olive-y, herbal notes. What a fine effort and such a nice value at $20. 12.5% abv

Paired very nicely with "Chili's style" carne asada fajitas. Yes, with sour cream and some shredded cheddar. On flour tortillas. I won't apologize.

December 14, 2021 - $20 at K&L last summer. Just picked up my two cases.

    Opened a bottle to test.
    Oh wow, just excellent Syrah.
Crushed granite, steely nose of wet rocks with notes of subtle spices, dry fruit of the black kind.
Palate is incredibly endearing with wet rocks, black fruit in the background and dry earthiness with dominating asphalt and rocks galore.

I don't feel bad at all that I bought every bottle K&L had.

This will age very well for the next 5-7 years.

September 3, 2020 - There's some blood plum, smoked meats and passionfruit skins to the aroma. It is relatively plush and juicy, with notes of menthol behind the fresh fruit flavours. It has a black olive saltiness to the fresh finish and is very tasty.
