March 2, 2024 - My last bottle of L4730, this is a delicious, complex and satisfying wine, but only for those who love very old white burgundy, because it is extremely close to sherry now, with an intense nuttiness and hints of mushrooms.

July 19, 2021 - Best bottle yet, and for the first time it reaches that wonderful plateau of fine Burgundy. Much more integrated and refined than previous bottles, it has classic Chardonnay aromas and flavors and good acidity. The oak is less prominent, and it has much more complexity, than previous bottles. It is a delicious wine. Drink by 2025.

July 17, 2020 - This is bigger than a typical Macconais, and it comes across as a Beaune wannabe or a medium++ body Californian. It is a rustic and satisfying wine that delivers classic Chardonnay aromas and flavors and still has decent acidity. It is heavily oaked, doesn’t have much nuance, and is fading fast, but it is a delicious wine. I have several bottles remaining and will drink them up by 2022.
