  May 24, 2020 - Not much to add to my last note. A lovely aged MSD village wine. On the nose: damp earth, mulberry, vanilla, spice. On the palate, good acidity, mulberry, plum, a touch of vanilla, soft leather. Soft, finely grained tannin on the finish. Yum!

  January 30, 2020 - Pop and pour, notes from 30 min open. Huh, far and away my best bottle so far. Damp earth, stems, soft oak, black cherry, wild strawberry..lovely perfume. On the palate, excellent acidity, more strawberry and some plum, integrated oak, and some serious grainy tannin on the finish.

Loads of spicy red fruit, but woody on the finish, with some coarse tannin. Nevertheless, an essentially perfect pairing for our beef and cheddar sausages.

  November 19, 2017 - Revisited but not much changed. Reasonably fruited, balanced, decent mouthfeel and still alive but just too woody to deliver true joy.
