March 23, 2013 - Decanted about an hour. Deep purple with amber brick rim. I would say medium forming legs. Powerful bouquet of cedar, raisins, rum, sour cherries, sweet italian pastry, and leather. Palate of sour cherries, leather, nice acidity. I think this would go well with ripe cheese and food rather than drinking on its own. However, this an example of a wine where I enjoy the nose more than the palate.

May 29, 2012 - This wine is much better than my last taste in 09.....deep garnet color....nose of berries, chocolate, and a hint of tomato....berry palate with an earth component...nice finish....still with structure.....I'd say osso bucco with this.....

October 7, 2011 - Ruby color with medium forming legs and aromas of blackberry, cherry, raisin and alcohol and has flavours of blackberry, cherry, raisin, black pepper and cedar.
