April 2, 2015 - Medium yellow in color. The nose is a bit mute, but this was quite fresh and lifted on the palate, especially given the ripe year. Light and airy; quite focused... but unfortunately short on the finish. A nice note of salt/slate peeps in. A lot of character here... very enjoyable.

April 13, 2013 - Medium gold. Still drinking very well even if more Rheingau than Mosel because of the unusually hot vintage. But the 2003 German rieslings from top vineyards are proving they can last well.

February 12, 2012 - Light gold with green glimmers. Striking nose of marzipan and field flowers. Classic sweet-sour Mosel palate, but more spatlese than kabinett. Should still improve for 1-2 years and last to 2017.

November 13, 2011 - Medium gold with green glimmers. Juicy medium sweet apricot with tangy acidity for balance. Slightly bitter peach pit on the medium length finish. Drink now-2013.

July 15, 2011 - Deep yellow gold. Not too sweet, with balancing acidity for classic mosel sweet and tangy palate. Can last to 2013-14, but drinking well now.

November 12, 2010 - Juicy sweet apricot and baked apple flavors are balanced by tangy acidity. Enjoyed with creamy and spicy new orleans sauces. I think will improve until 2013 and last to 2018.

October 11, 2008 - Mellon, concord grapes, strawberries, and watermelon. Semi-sweet, but not too bad. Went very well with spicy seafood.

June 6, 2007 - This was a fantastic riesling. Wonderful fruit, excellent acidity, and that great hallmark minerality. Drinking this wine was infanticide but I don't care. It was great over 3 nights.
