September 30, 2021 - This was my “last bottle” and sorry, not sorry, I still like it. The oak that some have been disgruntled with is more integrated and the style is what it is. Enjoy it if this is your thing like me, if not, gift it.
June 28, 2021 - It’s fine. Clean taste and not overly oaked. But fruit is very muted; there is better value out there even if you are buying from LB like me and most others.
April 7, 2021 - Nothing spectacular here but a good, solid chard in need of a big ass Burgundy glass to mellow through the oak. Good acid and Meyer lemon fruit, well balanced. Good QPR at $25 from LB, which bumps it from 89+ to a 90.
March 30, 2021 - Well made minus too much oak. Otherwise enjoyable chard as I don’t usually drink this style.
February 13, 2021 - Nothing more to add from my previous notes other than I won’t be shamed for liking it! It it what it is and I like it.
December 26, 2020 - Someone took beautiful hudson fruit and overoaked the shit out of it. Burnt cream brulee on the nose. Quite unbalanced on the palate. Even at $25, very disappointing
December 13, 2020 - Quite enjoyable classic Cali Chard with more oak in this bottle. Creamy with apple, butterscotch and pear and a nice finish. I'll wait a little longer on my other bottles to see if it develops further.
November 1, 2020 - A good wine with perhaps a bit too much oak. Maybe time will help integrate the oak in. Nice acidity and enough body to think that age will help.
October 5, 2020 - Enjoyable full blown cali style. Tropical fruits with definite oak influence but not over the top with the wood. Finishes long and creamy.
