June 17, 2018 - I think this is among the best basic Bourgogne available, beaten out only by Domaine LeRoy and Claude Dugat in my experience (Simon Bize is also on this "best of" list somewhere). It is wonderfully balanced, silky yet impactful, and hits all the right notes. Black cherry and subdued toasty oak on the nose, followed by more bright red fruit with a backdrop of herbs, integrated toasted oak, and spice. It is modern, but not overtly so. I enjoyed this with grilled spatchcock chicken seasoned with Chinese Five Spice, but I would recommend a lower char for your dish. The char flavors overemphasize the "toasty oak" in the background. Stick with caramelized flavors and you'll be happier with the pairing. The tannins are well integrated now and could soften up even more, but there is no reason to wait. This one is ready (unlike many 2005s still). Enjoy!

    October 19, 2017 - PopnPour, tasted over 2 hrs
-med dark red faint purple tinge no bricking
-low key sweet dark cherry plum and faint spice and some mature elements
-med acidity, middle weight with generous depth fading sweet creamy dark cherry fruit embedded in a rich earthy soil base with some mature notes peaking in, med- tannins and trace oak round out the short-ish finish
-very good quality in a richer style, still on a prime drinking plateau, no improvement expected but should be fine for a few more years

November 2, 2014 - Blackberry and brush, very NSG-like, a little rustic, but not at all heavy. The finish is a bit clipped, but this really delivers the goods for an entry level Burgundy.

January 9, 2010 - This shows more density than most wines in its class. Very big style. Clear presence of oak but still allows the anise, black cherry and plum fruits to show themselves in the glass. Long finish but without much focus or detail

November 9, 2008 - Opened by Anwar. Medium bodied. A good well built Burgundy wine. Red fruit and slightly earthy. Some underbrush notes. 87 points.

(Perrot-Minot Christophe Bourgogne Rouge) A soft, sweet and cultured nose. Very well textured with reasonable concentration. Well above averag Bourgogne - even in 2005.
