October 14, 2022 - Best bottle (Ristorante da Salvo, Stuttgart): Quick & dirty: Tasted blind. Wow! Compared to the Les Forts it seems a decade or more younge! Pressure, fruit, depth, tension, all there. Round and elegant, silky tannin. Long finish. Beautiful! 92-93

February 12, 2010 - Colour suggests some age but not 22 years; the nose is the same. Forward black berry, lead pencil, maybe some iodine and flower nuances. The palate is balanced and finish long. Maybe touch shy in the middle, but that is looking for a fault. I would love to try this on again in five years. Another great lunch wine to match the steak tartar at Bodega.

September 30, 2003 - Wow! After not drinking Citran from several vintages this is an impressive renewed acquaintance. Full bodied, laurel, black currents, power and finesse. This wine is a young adult and can last for at least another 5 – 10 years. Great pity I had only one bottle.

October 31, 1995 - Christie's Pre-Sale Tasting (Amsterdam): Excellent, good stuffing, spicy and structured.
