November 14, 2018 - This medium garnet wine was discovered in my cellar as a "lost soldier" that likely would have been consumed a few years ago. Having been pristinely cellared since being purchased in 2008, it has held up quite well. With a core of raspberry and red cherry fruit supported with notes of mulling spices and black tea, it is medium-bodied, fresh, seamlessly alcoholic (14.25%) and quite enjoyable. There are still some soft residual tannins that add to the structure, as well as a dollop of oak. Nicely persistent on the mid-palate and finish, this is a quality Pinot Noir that could easily be confused with something from the Côte d'Or. Drink now.

March 12, 2017 - This is a really nice, balanced, pretty, Pinot with a great combination of dark and red fruit, subtle cherry and a hint of raspberry. It does have a crisp finish. Oregon Pinot done well. Mature.

January 31, 2016 - Shea Pinot Provided by and at Gary's: A 1 hour decant, drank a small glass over about an hour. Initially, nice bright crispy fruit, a little tar &earth. Some alcohol, not bad. This gets darker in the glass and becomes more of a sappy California wine. 91 for the first 10 minutes, 88 afterward. If you're popping one soon, I'd not decant it and drink it quickly.

January 30, 2016 - Shea Vineyard Pinot Noir Tasting (Gary's Place): Medium dark red color. Decanted 1 hour; drank 70ml over 20 minutes. This was nice upfront, with a subtle dank earthiness, cherry, cherry cola, and spice. The palate was a lighter mediu body, sour cherry, black cherry, earth, spices, medium finish. Others reported this fading somewhat. I'd echo the comment to drink these up without a decant.

July 7, 2015 - Still drinking just fine though won't likely get any better. A perfectly pleasant bottle from a decent year with reasonable amount of bright medium red fruits, some oak, and nice overall balance and length.
