December 24, 2023 - Dark red color. PNP, drank a glass over an hour. Herbaceous, vanilla, black cherry, briar and pepper on the nose. The palate is dark and shows the herbaceous edge, dark juicy berries, black cherry, ripe fruit, briar, vanilla, and pepper. Drinking well. Probably has a couple years left. 88+pts.

November 19, 2023 - Pop and pour, this has some acid notes that make me think its on the way to vinegar, but is still drinking nicely at the moment, or at least as good as this wine will be.

July 28, 2021 - Central Coast, Calif., Syrah, 2018 Qupe, $18. Mid-ruby; red fruit, peppery, woody nose; mid-body (13.5 alc.); soft acids; medium tannins; some depth of fruit; long fruity finish, slightly hot. w/pasta, pizza. Good value. 15.5 UC Davis scale, 89 other scales.
