December 6, 2023 - Prior bottle was just over a year ago and this wine remains in a very good spot. White plum, lemon, spices, saline and mineral notes on a nose that got more aromatic and differentiated as it warmed. Close to medium bodied with a virtually identical fruit profile to my prior bottle: white pear and apple upfront and white peach and white tropical through the middle. Acidity, lemon, spices and minerals on the backside and through the finish. Depth through the middle has continued to improve as I expected, while the fruit notes show excellent definition. Overall balance also continues to evolve positively as the wine has retained its tart notes and structural acidity, but they are working more harmoniously with the fruit notes. The wine is drinking quite well at present, but with several years left ahead of it.

November 15, 2022 - Prior bottle was almost a year ago and the wine has taken a clear step forward in that time. Distinct and unique white plum along with lemon, light spices and mineral/saline qualities on the nose. Between light and medium bodied with pear and white apple upfront, but showing a bit more roundness and expression than previously. Biggest change was in the mid-body. More depth than in prior bottle as this wine has opened up well and shows soft white peach along with acidity/white tropical qualities behind. The structural acidity on the backside is more in balance with the fruit than previously which also leads to wine to feel better defined than previously. Finishes with lemon, other citrus notes and lingering minerals and some spice qualities. Showing a good mix of complexity, depth and structure at present and should continue to improve along these lines. Next bottle for me, Fall 2023.

August 9, 2022 - lots of citrus and mineral. Great on a hot summer evening.

January 19, 2022 - Drank over the course of 3 nights
1- crisp and clean. Hints of tropical flavors (mango?) with lemon following behind. Layers of slate minerality. High acidity. Decent finish Paired with roasted chicken nicely.
2- still going strong. Seemed a little richer with fruit becoming a little more pronounced. Layers of minerality. Finish was long and pleasant. Paired with flounder with lemon butter sauce.
3- only a taste left. It hadn’t faded but lost some of the richness gained on night 2.

November 25, 2021 - Roughly 1-2 hours in decanter. Intensely concentrated, very acidic but balanced by the fruit. A fabulous Riesling. With further airing, however, the acidity took over. I would recommend not decanting this one - just give it some air time and enjoy.
