Community Tasting Notes 1

  • Toasty Oak Likes this wine: 90 points

December 18, 2021 - Dense ruby in the glass with immediately appealing and moderately intense aromas of macerated cherries, damp underbrush, and leather. With about an hour of aeration, the wine opens up, broadening the aromas and flavors. There is a nice melange of cherry and plum, licorice and coffee, baking spice, mint and an undercurrent of iron. This is a well-balanced wine with refined tannins. It’s really lovely and makes me want to try their grand vin.
