Community Tasting Notes 18

March 11, 2024 - Opened, poured and let sit about 40 min. Then: Nose sort of floral at first, then turns more reddish fruit. Taste starts off on a sour cherry note; tannins and acidity OK; nice mouthfeel; good balance; maybe a little on the light side. By the end, the sour aspect not much in evidence. OK finish. Pleasant, tasty once past the initial sour note.

December 5, 2022 - New Zealand collides with burgundy; lots of assetive, toastied oak jumps to the forefront. Dark fruits, forest floor, show considerable weight. I would rather had a more supple, etherial example that didn’t attack my sense, but rather challenged me. I suppose that you get what you pay for.

November 10, 2022 - Drank this with minimal decant although did improve in the glass over the hour. Very similar notes to my last bottle a year ago. Very approachable big red fruit, spices, some tart crabapple on the finish. Glad I have a few more

November 5, 2022 - Opened, poured and let sit about 40 min. Nose and taste pretty close to my 10/21 note. Light bodied; smooth; taste mostly cherry and faint; finish slightly better; tannins and acidity not an issue; soft mouthfeel; all in balance. Pleasant, but not particularly interesting.
